๐ What Do Validators Do in QIE V3?
Validators are the backbone of the QIE network. In QIE V3, they perform a range of critical responsibilities that ensure the security, functionality, and decentralization of the blockchain:
โ
1. Validate and Propose Blocks
Validators participate in block production by verifying transactions and proposing new blocks to be added to the chain.
๐ 2. Secure the Network via Proof of Stake
By locking up (staking) QIE coins, validators help maintain consensus and protect the network from malicious attacks. Their stake is at risk if they act dishonestly.
๐ธ 3. Distribute Rewards
Validators collect rewards from block emissions, transaction fees, and delegation commissions โ and distribute a fair share to their delegators daily.
๐ 4. Participate in Governance
Validators vote on key on-chain proposals, including changes to protocol parameters (e.g., halving events), upgrades, or community decisions โ giving them influence over the future of QIE.
๐ 5. Support Interoperability
Validators help maintain QIEโs cross-chain capabilities by enabling communication between EVM and Cosmos-based chains, contributing to a more connected and versatile ecosystem.
Validators in QIE V3 do much more than validate blocks โ they govern, secure, incentivize, and scale the entire network.
